Clomiphene, alternatively known as clomifene, is a nonsteroidal triphenylethylene derivative and designated an antiestrogen and selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is also employed in biochemistry and molecular biology to study the interactions of estrogen receptor subtypes, especially ERα; there it shows context dependent agonistic or antagonistic binding behavior under predetermined assay conditions.
At a mechanistic level, clomiphene has served as a molecular probe to investigate the estrogen-responsive feedback signals in hypothalamic–pituitary axis models and associated endocrine signal transduction pathways. Due to its ability to affect receptor-dependent transcription and the upstream hormonal signal, it is a useful model for assessing the dynamics of regulation in steroid-responsive preparations.
Clomiphene was first synthesized in the mid-20th century during early medicinal chemistry efforts focused on estrogen receptor modulation. It has since been widely cited in scientific literature pertaining to receptor pharmacology, endocrine pathway identification and signal transduction investigation. At Element CRP, liquid clomiphene is supplied strictly for laboratory, analytical, and educational research purposes and is not intended for clinical, therapeutic, or consumptive use. Only buy liquid clomiphene if you are a licensed researcher.

Biochemical and molecular studies have been performed using clomiphene as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) in order to investigate the interaction of the estrogen receptors with secondary signaling pathways. Its ERα agonist activity, context dependent, enables the investigation of receptor-mediated transcription and feedback regulation in cellular models. Comparative studies have been conducted between clomiphene and other estrogen receptor ligands to evaluate differences in receptor occupancy, transcriptional modulation and pathway-specific effects with a defined experimental system [1, 2, 3, 4].
In mechanistic research, clomiphene has been employed to probe hypothalamic–pituitary axis–related signaling and gonadotropin-mediated regulatory pathways in experimental systems. Its modulatory effect on upstream hormonal cascades provides a valuable tool for studying steroid-responsive regulatory networks and feedback loops in laboratory settings [5, 6].
Clomiphene is also used as a molecular probe for studying steroidogenesis in the treatment of experimental systems and receptor mediated gene expression. Studies have concentrated on its effect on ligand–receptor binding affinity, second-messenger cascade response and modulation of estrogen-sensitive regulatory networks allowing for detailed profiling of endocrine signaling dynamics in vitro and ex vivo [6, 7].
Clomiphene remains a widely cited tool in receptor pharmacology, endocrine pathway characterization, and signal transduction research. At Element CRP, liquid clomiphene is provided exclusively for laboratory, analytical, and educational research purposes. It is not intended for clinical, therapeutic, or consumptive use. Buy liquid clomiphene only if you are a qualified researcher.
Clomiphene Citrate is a non-steroidal small-molecule selective estrogen receptor modulator featuring a triphenylethylene structure with mixed isomeric composition (zuclomiphene and enclomiphene). The compound supports reliable behaviour in standard cell culture systems used for nuclear receptor pharmacology research.
Cell-based research with Clomiphene examines competitive estrogen receptor binding and tissue-selective transcriptional responses in MCF-7, T-47D, and granulosa cell line models. Functional readouts include ERE-driven luciferase reporter assays, ERa/ERß coactivator recruitment profiling, and downstream gonadotropin axis cell model studies.
